Beauty of Joseon Apricot Blossom Peeling Gel Review｜A Korean Skincare Brand Loved Overseas

Today, I’m sharing my honest review of the Beauty of Joseon Apricot Blossom Peeling Gel, which I have been using since September last year.

 

 

💡 Why I Bought It

K-beauty has become very popular worldwide.
Among them, Beauty of Joseon is a brand that is especially famous overseas.
It’s interesting because the brand is not very mainstream in Korea,
but their sunscreen became a bestseller on Amazon USA, and many beauty communities abroad talk about it.

I already knew the brand name, but I had never tried their products before.
Last year, I needed a new exfoliating product, and I found Beauty of Joseon’s official store on Lazada Malaysia.
Since it was an official seller, I felt safe to buy it.

Usually, if I order from Korea, the box gets damaged during shipping.
But this time, the box arrived in perfect condition — no dents, no scratches.
The delivery was also very fast.

 

🎀 First Impressions

The product came in soft pink packaging, which gave me a pleasant feeling right away.
It’s a tube type, so it’s hygienic and easy to control the amount.

 

 

🧖‍♀️ How to Use & First Experience

After cleansing, apply an appropriate amount to your face,
avoiding the eye and lip areas.
Massage gently for 1–2 minutes.

While massaging, the gel turns into small white “eraser shavings” that roll off your skin.
These are the dead skin cells and product residue.
Then rinse with lukewarm water.

After the first use, my skin felt a little smoother.
However, since I usually use AHA/BHA or scrubs (which are stronger),
I didn’t feel like it removed all the dead skin.
It might be because my skin is used to more intense exfoliation.

 

 

📌 After 2–3 Uses

• Best for: sensitive skin or anyone who prefers gentle exfoliation
• Pros: very mild, low irritation
• Cons: might feel weak for oily skin or those wanting deep exfoliation

Personally, I won’t repurchase because I prefer a stronger type of exfoliator.
But on days before an important meeting or event, when I don’t want to stress my skin,
this gel works well.
When I used it the night before, my makeup looked smooth the next day.

 

 

✍ Final Thoughts

For me, Beauty of Joseon is still a brand I connect with sunscreen,
but this peeling gel showed me that their gentle skincare also works well for certain needs.

If you are looking for a soft and non-irritating exfoliating gel,
this is worth trying.
